Thanks BWM..pity you couldn't entice said niece and followers down to the Dog after lunch for a post prandial chill.
No worries, enjoy the food at Demon's (er..Damon's, shurely? Ed.) and maybe see you in the new year.
Dáithí

Another Oooooops! Mrs. Fenswoman has now decreed that I must accompany her and other members of the Fenswoman family to Damon's, for to partake of a Wack of Wibs in celebration of her niece's 18th birthday.

Sorry! I promise I will come over for the session soon! Have a good one.

OOps - sorry Ruth! what I meant to type was "last one OF THE YEAR"!!!

I'm delighted to say that the session has really evolved and grown into a lovely bunch of relaxed folks who enjoy the opportunity to share music and chat in a friendly cosy setting...lovely! Long may it continue!

Backwoodsman - it tends to go on till folks have hadenough..I tend to budget for staying till six or half past, but I have known it continue later... it's not compulsory to stay till the end though, you know!
(Reminds me of the story my Da used to tell of two old topers in a bar. One said to the other, "I'll be glad when this Guinness is finished then i can stop drinking it and go home")

Hope to see you Sunday, so..
D

Hi Daithi, what time do you usually wind it up? If I can tell Mrs. Fenswoman what time to expect me home, there's a better chance she'll sign my pass-out! :-)

This Sunday sees the last First Sunday of the month bash at the Dog and Bone, John St, Lincoln from 3pm onwards.
Child friendly, real ale (and fire!)and a warm welcome await!
Singers and musicians of all styles especially welcome.

We usually have a mixture of Irish trad and folk, American old time, Blues, English sea shanties , morris and Scottish fiddle tunes. Lat time we even had a Chinese lady singing in Mandarin!
Hope to see you there!
Slán!
