I love the idea that we could support the Mudcat and our fellow Mudcat musicians at the same time. Are we confirmed, then, that the downloads really do include a cut for Mudcat?

I prefer the album and notes in my hands to downloads as well. However, it is good to know that singles are available and I wanted all the Catters to know this facility was now up and running on Amazon.UK.

Yep, I recently bought books and electronics the same way. Do your shopping and help Mudcat be self sustaining at the same time. I intend to always check there first.

I changed the thread title, more-or-less as requested. I'm hoping Max will stop in and tell us if he's getting a cut from Amazon for MP3's. I suspect he is, as long as we use the Mudcat portal:

I bought my television and my computer through amazon.mudcat.org in the US, and Mudcat got a cut of that.

I was thinking to myself, well, THAT'S not news, but then I see you are referring to Amazon.co.UK, so it is news. I use it a bit here in the US, but I tend to buy my few with Pepsi points. Eliminates the credit card check that way.

I see that there are tracks I can't get through Amazon.com, so I will be poking around a bit. Thanks for the heads up.

Not just a few token folk tracks, either. I was surprised at just how many discs they are offering straight away, and at what seem to be relatively good prices.

Luddite that I am, I suspect I will still generally want a disc, and the accompanying notes, but the odd track or two might be tempting.
