Margarita,

Given Catspaw's recent ordeal I don't think you should be encourging him to tie one on. You knotty girl!

LOL RiB! I came across this because I do decorative knotting. My business name (registered in Washington state) is Knot Crazy.

If you're on the Mudcat Margarita, your trade name might be a mistruth in advertising!:)

I hear you 'spaw, this kind of thing can take a bight out of you. You need to line out a plan so this doesn't come to a bitter end. Whipping yourself won't do any good. Hitch up yer trousers, or take a half hitch if you're uncomfortable, strike a positive cord. Hawserever you look at it, variety is the splice of life. Dave

The cat ran around the harp. The cat jumped through the harp. He came back out again and stuck his paw into the ocarina hole.... Isn't that how you learned to tie this one?

Use it all the time. How about an underhand, over the top, sliding, floogle knott. It's sort of like a sliding camal hitch, but with a twist.

Dave my man.........It's obvious that you know a lot of sheet there guy! You're just bowline me over with those puns. Now halyard dear sainted mother would feel, I don't know, but don't be abraid to keep them coming. Hope everybody ain't too fid up with these bad puns, 'cause if we can get them in before the summer solstice, they can still be considered spring lines.

'spaw, This is all your fault:

She sisaled up to me in the Turk's Head bar, " Sheet bend?" she asked.

I cottoned on to her meaning. "Don't give me any static sister, I can figure eight ways a girl like you is trouble."

"Need some hemp?" mumbled the bouncer, gnawing on a sheep shank.

"You should have been better taught. Lines like that can be limiting. Think big, don't concentrate on a lone sailor, try the fleet angle."

I left. I was looking for a contortionist who knew her history. " Fancy a Becket bend, Sally?"

Dave

Catspee, you are the best. I'm laughing out loud on two threads. I'm thirty-six hours into a seventy-two hour duty shift, and it may be the Mud which keeps me sane. Cheers, D.

Dave, what on earth do you do that you have a 72 hour shift? Seems like there might be a little time to knot there. Or knot? HaHa. We just got a scanner. I don't know how to operate it yet, but I can see that some photos of my work might be of interest. I guess I'll have to learn how to put those photos in............
