Hello out there! I wonder if anyone can help?

Sylvia Needham and myself have a short notice recording commitment in Workington on 17th/18th Feb 2009 and would really like to place a couple of gigs around that period to help with costs. If there are any clubs between Derby and Workington that have guest vacancies for the following dates we'd be delighted to hear from you:

Sun        15th
Monday        16th
Thurs        19th
Fri        20th

Fee arrangement: negotiable in the circumstances

- we would of course very likely need some sort of accom, (a clean bed in a private room would be plenty good enough - we don't need pro. B+B unless that's all that is possible in which case would be happy to further negotiate the fee accordingly)

Many thanks and kindest regards
Keith Kendrick

I'm sure everyone here knows just how good these two are - but just in case you don't:

Sylvia is an excellent Duet player, and Keith is probably unique in that he's brilliant, and equally virtuous, on both Anglo and English (how's the Duet coming on, Keith?). Both are very strong singers too (Keith is one of the very best in the business - a true master) and their cohesion is impeccable. Sparkling entertainers too.

If it's too late for a guest spot, have them on a singaround night and ask for a whip round. Then put 'em on first. No-one will want to follow them, and they'll all be chucking tenners in the pot with abandon. It'll turn onto their gig, but no-one will mind!
