That's nice, as I've heard them say Tom Napper was a notable influence on Chris and Denny/LNF's early career.

Can't believe we won't see them any more. In this case it's quite true that "we don't know what we've got 'til it's gone".

I'll miss them, but was lucky to see one of their last gigs a couple of weeks ago. It was a special and memorable night, so if you're anywhere near Ashover don't let those tickets for their final performance go to waste!

These guys deserve far more acclaim than they've had. Top class musicians with genuine love for their music, and top lads too.

Oh, the memories of Warwick where I first heard them, and of all the places between there and Beverley 'Not the White Horse' Folk Club.

Last Nights Fun are at Ashover Village Hall in Derbyshire for their last gig on Sat 20th December 2008

I think the economics of running a band with members from the far corners of the UK and the cost of travel have caught up with them!

Support will be Hannah James (of Kerfuffle and The Demon Barbers Roadshow) and Jim Molyneux (of 4 Square and winner of the BBC Young Musician of the year - Percussion)

All this and Real Ale brewed down the road at The Poet's Corner - How can you resist?
