Subject: RE: Chord Req: translation into chords From: Joe Offer Date: 16 Dec 08 - 03:05 PM There's a very nice program called ABCMus that plays and edits tunes written in ABC notation. It has a feature that generates chords for songs, and it works pretty well. I haven't used it since I switched to Windows Vista two years ago because I don't know if it works with Vista, but it worked well with Windows XP. -Joe- |

Subject: RE: Chord Req: translation into chords From: GUEST,Guest - Mark Bluemel Date: 20 Jan 09 - 09:52 AM http://www.folkinfo.org/songs/displaysong.php?songid=611 The song seems to have a very simple harmonic structure, in the key of G. I'd just play around with G, C and D until something worked as a starting point. I don't have an instrument to hand, but I suspect something like this would work. | G / / | G / / | C / D | G / /| | G / / | G / / | C / G | D / /| | G / / | G / / | C / G | D / /| | G / / | G / / | C / D | G / /| |
