Subject: Sussex clubs & sessions links From: Will Fly Date: 24 Dec 08 - 04:24 AM I'm trying to compile a set of web pages which gather together a listing of folk clubs, sessions, singarounds and "other events" in Sussex. The pages are not intended as a programme guide but as a set of permanent, general links. What I have so far can be seen at: Links. There are several web sites which give all or bits of each, but not one set which brings them all together - as far as I've been able to tell. If you have knowledge of anything suitable for these pages that I've missed in my trawl, please email me - the address is given at the bottom of each page. I hope to extend the pages to the surrounding counties of Surrey, Kent & Hampshire - time and resources allowing. |
Subject: RE: Sussex clubs & sessions links From: Hamish Date: 24 Dec 08 - 05:50 AM Looks good to me, Will. Nothing obvious missing as far as I can see. I've bookmarked the page and will be using it regularly when I'm down on the south coast (which I will often be until March at least). Thanks Hamish |

Subject: RE: Sussex clubs & sessions links From: Will Fly Date: 24 Dec 08 - 06:34 AM Thanks Bryan. I wasn't sure of the status of the Hat Music site (why don't these page writers regularly put dates on their pages...?) - and I've acknowledged the What's On info on my "Clubs" page. I've yet to go through the Folk Diary with a magnifying glass, but will probably do so this evening over a glass of something mulled... Your acoustic sessions pages are a goldmine, by the way - and duly acknowledged. As you can see, I've regrouped the info by location, but made no attempt to add the currency of the next session. |
Subject: RE: Sussex clubs & sessions links From: TheSnail Date: 24 Dec 08 - 08:28 AM Sorry, Will, hadn't explored your site thoroughly enough. I must say your design skills are well above mine. |
Subject: RE: Sussex clubs & sessions links From: Fidjit Date: 24 Dec 08 - 09:09 AM Hmmm. Hive of activity down there isn't it? Have to consider roaming around those South Downs sometime. Chas |
Subject: RE: Sussex clubs & sessions links From: Will Fly Date: 24 Dec 08 - 09:11 AM There is a LOT going on round here - and these are just the folk-oriented venues! |
