Hi everyone, especially Manchester folkies from the 60's and 70's.

It's with great sadness that I have to report that Dave Hall , a stalwart of the Manchester folk scene has died. probably best know as a member of Gypsy's Kiss and a fine singer and guitarist .

He'd had a really hard time of it over the past few years following the death of his beloved wife Janet and I think it all all got too much for him and he checked out just before Christmas . He leaves a daughter Holly and a son Ben.

His funeral is on the 5th January at the Crematorium, Southern Cemetery in Manchester at 2 o clock.

I remember Dave from the late 60s - he drifted over to Barnsley occasionally. Always enjoyed his stuff.

This winter is proving a bad one - FAR too many deaths.

Positive thoughts to Holly and Ben.
