I has a note from Sean Laffey today, who attached a copy of a lovely review they'll run in Feb or Mar. Nice folks - and obviously people of superior intelligence and refined tastes!

I don't think they have a distributor in the states anymore for newstand sales, probably related to shipping costs, etc. so only available by subscription, though some content eventually is available on thier website.

I'm not sure if they are selling it in the U.S. anymore. I used to pick mine up at Barnes and Noble, but about a year or two ago they stopped selling it. We have three different Barnes and Noble stores in our area as well as a couple of Borders, but no one seems to carry it anymore.   IF anyone knows of stores in the NJ/NYC area that carry, please let me know!

The magazine has a very nice Website, http://www.irishmusicmagazine.com/.
Alas, the Website doesn't have the magazine text online.

Best of luck with the new CD, Jed.

Jed - By 'their next issue' they would probably mean their February number, which has not come out as yet. They try to stay ahead of the calendar, like most magazines, rather than behind it, where they had been for many years before. I have a subscription here in the states, and have not seen said review as yet, to the best of my memory, but I will dig them out and look again for you, but i would think you should expect a copy of the February issue in early to mid- January some time.

Hi Jed, I've seen the mag carried at either Barnes & Noble or at Borders.
Next time I'm at one or the other I'll look around.

Barry

I believe this magazine is published more in Europe then the US.

I had a note from one of the writers at Irish Music Magazine saying they were publishing a review in their next issue. That was back in early Dec, maybe even late Nov. I asked for a copy but received no reply.

Has anyone seen it? The Dec or Jan issue? The album to be reviewed is called SANDS OF ABERDEEN.
