Alan Day- Yes, this attack occurred in December of 2008. The sentencing has recently been set. I presume that's why GUEST,Learaí na Láibe has revived the old 2008-2009 thread.

Such a shame he continues to have such difficulty as a result of his injuries.
I wish him healing and music.

Update. Man sentenced to 5 years for assault.

Noel's life and career has been destroyed by the vicious attack.

The information directly from Galway is pretty definite that the incident came about because of a dispute with a local builder.
