I left the location off on the basis that people that did not know it would not be going and those who were interested could look it up anyway!

Would love to go there again - but it's much easier to see him down the road in Bristol! since he's coming here anyway... :)

Very good concert venue indeed and biggest theatre outside the great metrolops apparantly. RT is on at the Lyric - which I think is the biggest of the three stages they have. I have been to a few gigs there and it is great once you get in. Outside is a bit sad - trendy concrete quays where the old docks used to be but that's progress. If you go you will find the bar is closed after the concert but there is a Lime bar and Cafe Rouge if you want food or drink after. For pre-concert drinks and meals the Lowry itself is quite good. One thing you can always do if you go - paraphrase Salfords own Mr MacColl - "I heard a concert from across the docks..."

Cheers

Haven't been to the Lowry yet, I think it might have been Gmex a few years ago when I last saw the man. Before that in a dance-hall back of Oxford Road somewhere (with Danny Thomson). Before that in the Free Trade Hall, And long before that with Linda Thompson and band at Salford University. And many other occasions - must be time for another listen.

We may see Richard at the Kate Wolf festival this summer. Should be fun. There is going to be a remembrance of Utah also so will be wonderful.
