Does anybody know of folk/OT songs or ballads relating to the circus? If so, can you either post artists/albums or lyrics or collectors?

Well, if you put trapeze in the search box, you'll get "The Daring Young Man on the Flying Trapeze." Better yet, you'll get Cosmo, the Fairly Accurate Knife thrower, plus some others.

I'm sure others will come up with more. I added "songs" to the thread title to draw more music.

Perhaps you would be better to advertise in the showman's magazine.

I used to gig an old peoples home, and there was this old guy from the fairs. he always uswed to ask for I've got a lovely Bunch of Coconuts.

I think travellers and showman's sites and magazines will be the place to look.

It is interesting because it seems it was written immediately before a whole spate of songs with similar themes regarding fathers not going to the mines.
