OK hope this does not double post - maybe I did something wrong. Song can be hard on myspace at myspace.com/jasoliver along with some other originals

Hi everyone, I have not been here for quite awhile but am very glad to be writing again finally. I'm sure I'm not posting this (my own (lyrics) in the right forum so a swift kick is just fine to get me straightened out.

You folks were so positive about some of my earlier stuff that I got it on CD at cdbaby under "Jason oliver" on my new "after el paso" CD.

Honestly not self promo here, you guys are the best site I have found for comments and resources. To the extent I can afford, email me for a free cd.

Kind of slow, drawn out country ballad format:

A Little Bit of Venom

There was just a little venom, In the way you treated me
Led me on to nowhere, I fell so completely
And I don't know just what it was, you didn't see in me
Or if you were getting even, with someone else through me

There's a little bit of venom, in your pretty smile
A little bit of venom, as you flirt and bat those eyes
A little bit of venom, as you giggle on my arm
A little bit of venom, maybe that's your charm

So now all that never was, will never come to be
And still I taste the poison, every time you smile at me
And hurts more than not talking, not saying anything at all
'cause every time I see you, I remember how I crawled

There was just a little venom, in every single kiss
Just a taste of poison lingered sweetly on your lips
Just a taste of venom, half bitter and half sweet
Just a taste of venom, when I pass you on the street

(Break)

Now I must admit there's one more thing, that I'm scared could be true
That I could meet another girl, And she'd be just like you
With a little bit of venom, In every single kiss
A little bit of poison, dripping from her lips
A little bit of venom as she giggles on my arm
A little bit of venom, is every woman's charm
A little bit of venom, is every woman's charm
