Subject: BS: Mrs. number six (good thoughts please) From: gnu Date: 08 Jan 09 - 07:02 PM I would like to ask for good thoughts and prayers for her and for sIx. She is doing okay last I heard, and sIx is doing "better", although still shaken up, of course. After loving someone dearly for 36 years, I expect it's a tad rough. My thoughts and prayers to biLL and his bride. Here is the post that stunned me... Subject: RE: BS: Gratitude From: number 6 - PM Date: 03 Jan 09 - 07:29 PM I'm beyond grateful that my wife is alive and well after suffering a heart attack last Wednesday morning. I'm am also grateful for the excellent staff at the the Regional Hospital here in Saint John N.B. biLL |

Subject: RE: BS: Mrs. number six (good thoughts please) From: GUEST,heric Date: 08 Jan 09 - 07:08 PM That was a shocker and I'm sure a cause for Bill and his wife to focus even more clearly on all good things in life. Best to you both. |

Subject: RE: BS: Mrs. number six (good thoughts please) From: Azizi Date: 08 Jan 09 - 07:16 PM For those who didn't get my last reference, it's a take-off of the saying that the cartoon characters the Wonder Twins would say in order to call up their special powers {Wonder twin powers, activate!} I think it's an appropriate saying to give to two people who have-as gnu wrote-loved each other dearly for 36 years. That's almost like being twins. And they probably get along better than some twins do. Praying for a speedy recovery for "Mrs 6", Azizi |

Subject: RE: BS: Mrs. number six (good thoughts please) From: number 6 Date: 09 Jan 09 - 06:56 AM Thanks guys .... this is surprise that is very, very much appreciated. It has been a rough and a bumpy few days needless to say ... with the unexpected heart attack compounded with allergic reactions to the meds ... but Ann (missus biLL) is much better and on the road to recovery ... her problem was one blocked artery which they immediately corrected with a stent, the other three arteries are and were running at 100 % capacity. She is in excellent shape health wise so the future looks good. I should add that she is a Scot and if anyone knows anything about Scottish women, they are tough. So she'll be up and about in no time keeping me in line as usual. She is a wonderful woman, and I'm one lucky guy ..... we always have appreciated our life together but it will be even more appreciated. Spaw said ... "You both have all my best for a return to whatever passes for normalcy as soon as possible. " ... yesterday morning Ann commented " I can't wait until we get back to normal, but one thing it's going to be a better normal". again ... thanks guys, this was appreciated. biLL |

Subject: RE: BS: Mrs. number six (good thoughts please) From: number 6 Date: 28 Feb 09 - 11:36 AM Just an update here .... Ann is getting much better .... it's been a bit of a rough ride in the last 2 months ... she did spend another 5 days in the hospital after being rushed to the hospital (again) a couple of weeks back ... this was due to internal bleeding which was determined to be caused by the combination of the 2 medications Plavix and aspirin. This combo can be a deadly mixture to some people. If you know anyone who is prescribed this let them be aware. This past Monday morning she took the 2 hounds out for their morning walked for the first tiem since her heart attack ... though it must sound rather mediocre and non-important it was a big deal for Ann. This is one of great daily pleasures in her life. Needless to say it sparked her spirits up a great deal and convinced her she is on the road to recovery and a normal life. A big thanx to everyopne here in the Cat ... you prayers and best wishes were certainly heard and appreciated. You guys are all a great bunch of people. sincerely, biLL |
Subject: RE: BS: Mrs. number six (good thoughts please) From: katlaughing Date: 28 Feb 09 - 11:59 AM Walkies is VERY good news! Congrats to Mrs. 6 and the puppies and you! (Four years after a new heart valve, I count every little step as a daily victory in getting my body back in shape. Remind her that EVRYTHING physical counts for exercise...see what we post to the accountability thread!*bg*) I am on coumadin aka warfarin and must be monitored for how thin it gets my blood. Because I seem to be sensitive to its effects, my docs took me off of aspirin as the combo was getting dangerous. I am glad she is okay! |
