MY favourite story was my mate turning up to run his club , only to be told it had closed the previous week !

Hi, Folks,
It,ll be money I expect.
His beer and diet Coke prices were extortionate, so I suppose there's some bearing on the cessation of music. At least he gave us some warning, unlike some in the area who just closed and went away.

Do you know the names and numbers of the people who have been playing?
Why don't you contact as many as you can and think of somewhere else to meet?

Which is more important, the music or the liquor?

Why don't you try meeting in someone's home, at a church or other public building?

You don't have to give up just because the pub is not available.

' It doesn't sound as if forward planning is his strong point. '

I agree - seems to be a trend - d'ye think pub landlords/ manager's training course includes short-sightedness & stupidity??

Deepest sympathy from our own experience. I expect he thinks he can make more money selling food. It doesn't sound as if forward planning is his strong point.

That's awful! No prior warning, no notice-period? Did he give any reason as to why it's so sudden & brutal?   (Wait, let me guess: could it have something to do with money?)

I'm really sorry to hear it. Any plans to pitch camp elsewhere?
