Subject: BS: Classic Car Auction From: JohnInKansas Date: 09 Jan 09 - 08:09 PM General Motors is cleaning out the attic to sell some stuff at the auction house to raise some much needed cash. Around 250 vehicles from GM's "Heritage Collection" will be auctioned by Barrett-Jackson, with the first lots going on Jan. 13 in Scottsdale, Ariz., and the second hitting the block in April in West Palm Beach, Fla. Among the samples pictured at the link: 1955 Buick Century Bolero 1918 Cadillac 1986 Presidential Limo 1998 Popemobile 1960 Chevrolet Impala Interested persons probably can order an auction brochure. If any one gets one of these, they're welcome to offer me a ride - although I get dizzy on tall things that wobble around so I might hesitate on the Popemobile. John |
