Perhaps it's worth checking with the festival coordinators, given Will Fly's observation.

Email them here: info@wheatonastonfestival.co.uk

The home page is slightly confusing. The top of the page gives the 2009 line-up for the festival - but there's a para at the bottom of the same page that says, sadly, the 2009 festival has had to be cancelled...

It might be more helpful if the page could be cleaned up so as not to give ambiguous info...

Just a thought.

I can recommend it - played on the bill there about 4 years ago. At one stage it looked like last year was going to be the final one, as the organisers who'd done it for years had reached the burnout point, but there are a new set of peeopl to carry it on.

There are not many really big names, but the acts booked are very good, and there's singaround/sessions in the pubs. Probably among my top three of the smaller festivals.

We went 2007, line was brilliant, venues small, atmospheric and appropriate tricky getting the caravan onto the campsite but probably the best small festival going

I've not been but am going this year after having had good reports from my mate in the Midlands. Supposed to be a very friendly Festival which takes over the whole village!
