The first of the series of "Iain Anderson In Conversation", yesterday lunchtime, had a Cape Breton theme.

His guests, fresh from the opening concert, were Mary Jane Lamond, Margaret Bennett, and Boyd MacNeill, with music by Rachel Hair.

It was a fascinating hour of chat and music. We broadcast it live, and is also on our "listen again and download" site.

Go to http://www.celticmusicradio.net - there's a "listen live" button at the top, and the "listen again and download" link is half way down the right.

Bruce.

Just a reminder that Celtic Music Radio http://www.celticmusicradio.net are broadcasting live from the festival. Unfortunately we've not got the main stages - the BBC gets those - but we'll be reviewing and previewing events, interviewing performers, broadcasting some live sets, and transmitting everything from the Open Stage.

Tomnorrow morning has a bit of a Cape Breton theme - Mark Sheridan's Morning Magazine (11.00 UK time) will be reviewing performances, and interviewing some of the musicians, as well as looking forward to the rest of the festival.

At 12.30, Iain Anderson starts his "In Conversation" series. Tomorrow's theme (Friday!) is "The Cape Breton Connection". His guests on stage will be performers from tonight's opening concert. Live music.

Then it's Gordon Hotchkiss's afternoon session from 1.30-5, with live music between 2 and 3, and then the Danny Kyle open stage from 5-7.

You can hear all this:

a. on 1530kHz around the Glasgow area.
b. online at http://www.celticmusicradio.net
c. on an internet radio - look under the "folk/world" categories
d. We're also being transmitted at lunchtimes (weekdays) and evenings (weekends) by UCa radio in Ayrshire - 87.7 kHz and on the Ayrshire DAB multiplex
e. next week, we'll also be on short wave, covering most of Europe, on 6140kHz from 1300-1400 UK time.
