Subject: Bruce Murdoch's Youtube and Myspace
From: Lizzie Cornish 1

Just in case some of you are hitting the wrong page, the previous ones were taken down a few days back, and the new homes for Bruce's three songs are now below:

You Made My Heart Beat Fast:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gQbR74b2zis&feature=related

I Can See You Now:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZmunHgQNRCA&feature=related

As Soon As Possible:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r7zCsF8sE1I&feature=related

Sadly, all those brilliant comments went with the old pages, as you're not able to move them over on Youtube. I've put my comments back up again, or at least, new ones.

Oh, and in case people missed this in another unrelated thread, there are now two more songs up on Bruce's Myspace page, the beautiful 'First Robin of Springtime' which is so filled with images...and the deeply moving 'When I Cannot Sleep At Night'

Bruce's Myspace

Yeah, yeah, I know Bruce.. :0)

.....but hell, your music is so damned wonderful that I don't want it to get 'lost' out there on Youtube...and I ain't the only one who feels like that.

Hope you enjoy those extra songs, folks. :0)

I noticed that the page moved. Now he gets to start all over again from 0 with number of plays and friends and their comments.

I wish that Bruce would put a video of "Daley's Song" {which i think of as "Hot Wired" on YouTube. And I wish that a video and/or a sound clip of "Daley's Song" would be on Bruce's Myspace page.

What I really, really wish is that Bruce would produce a "Best of Bruce Murdoch" CD.

If he did produce such a CD, I'd buy it in a heartbeat. But the songs that I would love to hear on that CD are his new songs "I Can See You Now", "You Made My Heart Beat Fast", & "Daly's Song", and his old songs "Rough Night In Jericho", "Plains of Jericho," "Come Across To You", Country 'Tis of Thee' and of course Rompin' Rovin' Days".

Of course, other people have their own favorite Bruce Murdoch compositions. But those are my favorites of all the songs that Bruce has written and recorded so far that I know about.

I meant to also mention that I really, really hope that Bruce includes his wonderful song "Last Man Standing" on a "Best Of Bruce Murdoch" CD, or on his next CD, or if it's too late for that one, on the CD that he makes after that one.

A 'Best Of' CD.

Great idea, Azizi. I too would 'buy it in a heartbeat' (lovely term that) and I'm sure many others would. Past and present together in one CD.

There are so many of Bruce's songs that I've not yet heard and I'd love to hear them all, but unless you can track the LPs down, then convert them over to CDs, you're scuppered. All those songs are sitting 'out there' *wasted* when so many people would love to have them in their music collection, pass them around for others to hear the messages inside them.

I've got the 'Singer Songwriter Project' as that's out on CD now. But all the people who are discovering Bruce's music for the first time, I'm sure, would love to have his other songs.

'Come Across To You' I've heard done by Penny Lang, on Mike Regenstrief's show of Bruce's songs from last year, and it's extremely beautiful, so bloomin' tender that it brings tears. I hope Penny sings it with Bruce at The Apple Hollow Festival this year, but I should imagine there'll be a few more tears around if they do. Heck, I'd love to hear Bruce singing that one.

Every song Mike played on that show was worth hearing, every single song. I listened to that show in amazement.

Yeah, Bruce..I know...gush gush... ;0)

But I'm darned if I'll just 'trickle' over your music.

I think you should gush :-)

I don't want it to get 'lost' out there on Youtube

.....which is exactly what had happened to it for me. I still can't believe it didn't occur to me to search Youtube when the videos disappeared from the channel they were on.
