And apparently a lot harder to lose inside surgery patients.... it's the colour that makes them stand out.

Talking of patients.. he's had an ECG today, I'm just waiting for him to get back to me with the results - like whether he's getting kicked out tonight or if they're going to start charging rent.

No news other than he had the test and no-one has told him anything other than 'it's working'... I presume they mean his heart, rather than anything else. Most of that stopped working years ago. He may well be in another night.

Poor Micca. He must be going stir crazy right about now. Wonder if they just need to fill a bed and he isn't going anywhere until a new patient turns up.

Well, I just spoke to him, and he is in good spirits. He does say that he might have to learn to "drink" wine by the taste and spit out method, if his "awfully good friends" go through with their threat promise to reduce his stress level by removing all of the booze.

Just in from 3 days of concerts for college students and Irish American Societies, and find this?????? You are not shitting me any, Patterson. You went on Facebook, found that Lane, Fielding, Patterson and Swan, Layabouts at Large and for hire was accepting (for the first time in its history) associate members, so you decide to rack up some hours. Shameful, lad, simply shameful. There are others that have trying for years .... so this is but a weak attempt to jumpstart your app. But the no cider thing is problematic, as drinking the clients booze is a big part of all this. Tell me, lad, are you able to let loose air biscuits? Can't be a layabout if you can't let the occasional "poot" into the room atmosphere. We are a new age group of layabouts and believe and practice the ancient art of aromatherapy.

Listen, I have to handle this delicately, but if you decide that it is time to "getaway", could you make sure someone knows that I would like my Folk Legacy hat back??? Thanks. (you sneaky wee man...... I still laugh when I think of the look on your face when you pulled that one...)

BTW ....... I've seen the "candle" during your infamous walk to the shower in the co-ed dorm at Getaway. Spaw...... unless you have a problem that defies medical description, you might want to stay out of this one......   LOL.

Get better, my good friend. I have the candles lit and you are square in the middle of my reflections and prayers.

Much Love,

Mick

Well, he's just being a social butterfly via his cell phone in the loo. I also spoke with him this morning (his afternoon) and he did, indeed, sound quite chipper.

Spaw, I hate to tell you, but he asked me to pass this along to you:

He wouldn't touch your *candle* with a ten-foot pole!

Big Mick - I can testify that yes he does - why do you think he's in a room on his own.

Still there again this evening. I'll visit tomorrow if I get chance and ask what is going on.

The cat is fine, well fed, litter tray replenished and didn't hiss at me today... progress I feel.

Yup the purple gloves are nitrile. They come in slightly different materials (still nitrile but with different properties) in a very dull grey and a rather fetching turquoise.....

After a very unfortunate afternoon spent avoiding a strange man in the Goodwill because he had gastric distress and was clearing whole sections where ever he went, we (Jacqui, Tami and I ) discovered it was actually Micca creating the stench. And we had to ride in the car with him.

To think he blames it on the cat.

I am trusting you lot to keep an eye on him whilst I am in Egypt (leaving Wednesaday, be gone a week) and no, I do not have bail money so you will just have to do your best.

Kat - get in here. There is work to be done.

Another test or two and I think they will have him sorted out, safe and sound. The one thing he has been very sure of: 'tis better for him to be there than wind up in A&E, again and have to go through all of that poking and prodding etc!

Right now, for the rest of it:

I give thanks for Micca's complete good health and well being. I give thanks for this or something better for the highest good of all concerned. So mote it be.

Sunday is Super Bowl Sunday so I bought a copy of The Office UK and still have a bottle of champagne left from New year's. A toast to you once you are home.

Latest news Thursday 11.30am, he's waiting on results of another scan and may be home tomorrow.

There are lots of things he needs to do for his health.... none of which he'll like....

There are lots of things we could do for his own good. He won't like those either.

First , and most sincerely, my thanks to you all who have contributed postings, and healing energy that have helped me greatly during what was, and could have been a very scary time What happened?, I hear you ask,
Well, on Saturday 17th January I had coffee at Liz the Squeaks and set off home to get ready to go to Barcombe for the big sing on my way I suddenly developed very severe motion sickness and tunnel vision, I lay on the sofa to see if it would pass and it didn't so after 30 mins I called 999 and asked for an ambulance which arrived while I was still on the phone to the Emergency services. They did all the Emergency tests and heart attack stuff and still were not happy so took me off to the A&E at the local University Hospital, A very smooth ride in the ambulance, without a vulgar siren or fuss. at the Hospital they wheeled me into the A&E dept, where the floors where a bit uneven and that made the motion sickness worse so I threw up all over the cubical and the opposing wall, (a cast of about 8 feet) luckily there was no one in the line of fire . They did a CAT scan and kept me in overnight. The following morning 9Sunday) the doctor saw me and told me they feared I was very close to a stroke so the altered the meds I was already on and prescribed some new stuff and let me go home with strict instructions to return rapidly if ANYTHING happened.
PT2
I went to work as normal Monday and Tuesday (my job is closer to the Hospital than my home, only about 100 yards from A&E) and everything was fine until I got home at 1 pm Tuesday, when suddenly a large patch of opacity appeared in my lower left field of vision and was there no matter which eye I closed, or even both. I called the NHS direct help line and they suggested very strongly I went to A&E right away!! So I did and was admitted as a patient, the kept me for 10 days as a (I think ass-covering)precaution and to get the necessary tests done, Echo Cardiogram, MRI, sonogram of the blood vessels in my neck etc, so I have confirmation that
1 I have a heart and it works
2 I have a Brain!!!
They have done a complete MOT on me apart from kicking the tyres and commenting unfavourably on the state of the Bodywork ( I told them I tried the Body Shop last year for a replacement but they had nothing in my size). so they let me out again on Friday evening. I have to see the consultant on Monday morning and find out what I can (and maybe cannot) do and what meds I need and for how long etc
So again A big Thank you to you all, especially Kat and Chance for starting the threads and to everyone who contributed energy and thought,
in Gratitude
Micca
