This week at Raggalds Acoustic we are thrilled to have a visit from Katriona Gilmore & Jamie Roberts.

Should be another excellent night and one I have been particularly looking forward to since we booked them. It would be good to see any fellow 'catters who can get along to the Raggalds Inn, Brighouse & Denholme Road, Queensbury near Bradford, W.Yorks on Friday night (23 January).

Pete Morton is at the Topic in Bradford on Thursday night (22nd) too so its a superb couple of nights coming up here in windy Bradford!

As webo of The Topic Folk Club, thanks for the promo and there's a link to the website.

I won't be at either Bradford event as I live in rainy Somerset - a family connection with John Waller, who used to MC and book acts at The Topic until the end of December, got me involved and through habit I am carrying on helping current booker Rahel Guzelian from a distance.

Friday though I should be seeing Issy and David Emeney with Kate Riaz at Nailsea FC.

Thanks Nick for your continued help with the Topic web site from a distance - we regulars really appreciate it. Thanks Lizzie too for your good wishes - its certainly a busy time for me with the Raggalds gigs and the Queensbury Festival meaning I'm spending far too much time on the laptop!

Should be a good night tonight - for some reason there was a shockingly small audience for Pete last time I saw him at Topic so hopefully there will be more there tonight.

Let us know how it goes Joe.

You know, I think Pete Morton is one of the most underrated singer songwriters out there. He writes BRILLIANT songs, really brilliant, and of such depth too. Very clever man. Darn good singer too.

Heck, Issy and David are good too! Lovely harmonies. And they live in Cheddar my luvverrrrrrrr! :0) I used to live just up the road, in Shipham.

(Psssst, said in low whisper, just in case Issy and David want to learn how to put paragraphs in, this site's pretty cool.) :0)

Glad to say - as I mention elsewhere here - there was a great crowd for Pete tonight thanks to hard work by the club in promoting this gig. Well done!

It was just a shame that for once I had to leave early to get the bus!

So Katriona & Jamie tomorrow at Raggalds - I'd better get to bed soon otherwise I won't be at my best!
