Subject: RE: Craigslist for Music in Ireland and UK From: JedMarum Date: 23 Jan 09 - 08:08 PM Craigslist doesn't have any reason to push advertising or spam. They are a bulletin board type service. There may be spammer generating messages that say they're from Craiglist - that is a common approach fro spammers, they pretend they are some legitimate website or business. I would bet your Craigslist spam is just that - some spammer pretending to be Craigslist. Thanks for the Gumtree comment. I'll check 'em out! |

Subject: Craigslist for Music in Ireland and UK From: JedMarum Date: 23 Jan 09 - 02:04 PM Craigslist is a popular tool in the US for working several aspects of music. If you look through the several "gigs" sub-sections, and the musician's link of the "community" section you'll see the most obvious benefits. It is region focused - so you can look for gigs, musicians, instruments, promo, etc just in your area. And you can make the same searches in other areas, if you're interested. BUT it does not seem to be used much at all in Ireland or the UK. Is that true? Do any of our Mudcatters from Ireland and the UK have any experience with Craigslist?? |
