Hello to all my old friends here . My son Ben has been asked to make pots on Martha's live TV show and they want me to come along . Two wheels and Martha getting muddy . This is really Ben's gig .We will shoot the segment on Feb 11th and it will show Feb12th , I dont own a TV so I cant tell you what station Martha is on now .   
               After making pots Martha asked if I would play some banjo . Ive played some at her house so she knows what she's in for . Kind woman !! . Since Ben is a great guitar player ( He plays an 8 string Novax like Charley Hunters) I hoped he would back me up .. You never know how the producer will want to go and this is live TV so its anyones guess whether we will play music or not. I am really hoping to give MIke Rammsey a plug.. American hand crafts need all the help they can get right now ..
             A big hello to MAx and family . I promise to get you free tickets to Winterthur's Gardenfair next September so we can finally meet .
             Anyone who wants to know what my music or pottery are about I have a ton of clips up on youtube . I find it a great way to meet other people interested in home made music and pottery !! My channel is guywolff or search via guy wolff

This is really fun . Two people 6000 miles apart (AMOS IS YORKSHIRE 6000 MILES FROM CALIFORNIA?? ) Both that I have met from Mudcat .. !!! I remember someone in Pembrookshire Wales asking me if I know his cousin in LA who was surprised to hear it was closer from my house in Connecticut to Wales then it was from my house to California !! Nice to hear from you both . Say hello to Bill Sables for me . (Amos youve met Bill at a gathering I think ? Is that correct ?? ) I miss Yorkshire a ton and the music we made there .. Kewl, Guy! You must be really proud of Ben and he of you! The one thing I've always liked about Martha is she is smart enough to keep you coming on her show with pots and music and she gives Logee's a plus now and then. It is such a pleasure to know you, my friend. Congrats and I will be watching! (Love seeing you on youtube, too!)

Interesting idea Leadfingers Ill ask Martha if thats something they go for . If so I could put up some old ones for the fun of it as well .Ive done a batch of them over the years . . She has been selling some clips in her gadening section of a thing here in the USA called K_Mart but I think her relationship with that store is over for now. I really enjoy Martha Stewart (although I'm not too crazy about the new show format). I'll try to catch the show.

She appears to have an archive of videos of segments from the show on her website (example here), so maybe she could be persuaded to put the pottery clip up on her website.

I think the younger producers will like #2 and we will probably go with the B part of #1   . Sally Anne . It has a lot of dememtion and lift and they only need music to wash something like 50 secounds oof TV and 2 minutes of Audience . Those are really kewl, Guy! I liked #2 slightly better, even though it was too short.:-) I think it showed off Ben's playing more and he looked as though it was more fun than the other. He's definitely got your smile, as well as other talents! You've good reason to be PROUD!

Hello Kat . Im with you on Cluck old hen or #2 . It has a great groove . We have 50 secounds on the air and two minutes whole for the tune so it is short .. ..

Well I just back from NYC and we had so much fun shooting the show.. Lots of old friends are still with Martha from her studios in Westport Ct .. We also made lots of new friends . Ben and I did finish the show with a version of Sally Anne but with the words

" Oh that wheel dont ever stop ,
Going to make a flower pot .

Ben and Martha came to town ,
Then they made the wheels go round ..

The show will be on monday the 23rd . Im in New Hampshire at my old school The High Mowing School so I wont see it .. A Waldorf School so no tv .. . As always all the best to all here .. Yours Guy      

Oh yes I heard that they will put in up on Marthas web station as well so my friends in the UK can see it if they feel like it ..

That was really kewl, Guy!! What a wonderful son you have, so confident and well-spoken. Of course, I am not surprised...just surprised at when in the aitch they all grew up!**bg** Ben's pots are beautiful, too!

As it happens, I was gone all day helping my brother with his car. I was just able to get away to take my grandson home about 2p then I came home for a few minutes, looked at my calendar and said, "OH..." well, you don't want to know what I said! Anyway, I turned on the TV, there's Martha and it's 230p and I was prayin' I hadn't missed you two, then I think, "no Martha is a smart woman, she will save the best for last" and I stuck with it and there you were!.

Congratulations to you both. It was just wonderful and now I want a potter's wheel like you had on there.:-)And some Wolff Pottery pots.:-)

By the way, just to show how interconnected we all are, our Monday night at Sally's group was once blessed by the regular presence of Mary Burnley, a fine bass player and blues singer, whom we lost when she married Ralph Novack, owner and master luthier of Novax Guitars, maker of Ben's wonderful fan-fretted 8 string guitar.

Very cool to hear from two of my favorites on mudcat :
         Charles, Ben just loves his guitar and really likes talking to Ralph on the phone . He tried his darndest to mention Novack guitars on the show and I think got him a link from Martha's .. I wanted to mention Mike Ramsey but we ran out of time . I do love the circles that ring out from that Monday evening singsong in Berkley !!! I hope to see you this year yet . We will see how things go with the crew in Novato if you know what I mean ..
