February 2nd Monday Start 8.30
The Midway Stockport
Stockport Folk

Jeff Davies Tickets 5.00 6.00 on the night

If you've been watching the impressive Folk America programs on BBC4 then you'll have an idea of what Jeff is about. Outside of the mainstream populist folk there is an American Folk tradition that has roots from before the Civil War. The songs and tunes are impressive and memorable and Jeff sings and plays them on Banjo, Guitar and Fiddle. And, he plays them extremely well.
If you want to see one of the best live performances of the old songs and tunes of America, then it's your lucky day!!

I'll be starting a new thread shortly with details of the rest of his tour. But, in the meantime, could someone change the title of this one to read 'Jeff Davis'!

As of 6.30 this evening the gig is still on. The main road through Glossop is just about clear, and we're hoping to get to Stockport in one piece.

Don't be soft! Be there.

Hope you got back okay after the show.
