Her's a story about Frank Buckles
the last living US veteran of World War One. He also has a website WWW.FrankBuckles.Org

It makes me wonder if anyone has kept track od the World War One vets of other countries. Either way it's an interesting story.

I think our last vet died last year. I've been trying to find a pic of him soon after he joined up, he was 16 years old & looked so young. He's not the bloke mentioned on Wikipedia - List of surviving veterans of World War I

Well, it turns out he died in 2002 & here's his story

Harry Patch is still going here (UK), and one other guy I think.
Another died very recently. (Sorry, no names - tired old brain!)
They appeared laying wreaths at the Remembrance Day Ceremony at the Cenotaph in November. Very lump-in-throat-provoking.

Only one Canadian left and he's been living in Washington State since the 1920's. John Babcock!
