Just to let you know that we will be hosting our usual session in the Bell Inn, Bath Road on Friday 13th (lets make it lucky!) and Saturday 14th February, starting from 8.00 pm.

Hope to see you there!

Merek'n'Dary

I think that we MIGHT be going this year (instead of Bude).----I have volunteered to be a steward, anyway !!

Hi Bubblyrat - Just wondering if you've got Cheltenham confused with Chippenham! Last year Chipp clashed with Bude. They don't actually clash this year anyway because Bude (May 29 - 31st) is a week later than Chipp (May 22-25)

I'll be hosting day-time singarounds in the YMCA Chapel on Saturday and Sunday in Cheltenham in February. I'll post the times later.

Sue

Yes, you are quite right,Sue !! Always have trouble with those two !! It runs in the family, you know----When I was in the Navy,my grandmother wanted to visit for Air Day at Lee-on-Solent. I told her to get the train to Fareham.Of course, she got the train to Farnham, didn't she !! ( Really !!).I had better check and see what festival I have actually volunteered for now, I suppose !!

Sue !! It's all coming back to me now !!Yes, I got them confused, BUT----we are NOT going to Bude because it ISN'T at half-term this year (in order NOT to clash with Chippenham !)so Karen would have to leave Bude early on Sunday to be ready for school in High Wycombe on Monday morning, so not worth going.I think it's that, anyway !!

Cheltenham is imminent (13-15 Feb).

Chippenham will be at the end of May, over the second (last Monday rather than first Monday) Bank Holiday weekend.

Lets hope that people are not so disorientated by the debate Chippenham or Cheltenham that they can't find the way next weekend! The snow makes it difficult enough!

What a great weekend, and the weather did us proud in the end! It's so nice to meet up with old friends and make some new ones too but Monday morning back at work was a distinct come down!

The old favourites didn't disappoint - Jo Freya et al in particular were in fine voice! I was also delighted to get a chance to see fresh new talent in the form of a trio called Heretique, hope to see more of them in the future!

A good start to the 2009 festival season - thank you to the festival organisers at Cheltenham for their hard work and a job well done!

Sal
