Stumblin' Block or Lord, You Don't Have To Move That Mountain
(Just Show Me the Way around It)

I have posted this in the favorite gospel Song thread.
http://www.mudcat.org/thread.cfm?threadid=106743#2207925

There credited to Mahalia Jackson

I found several sites where the lyrics are posted, but they all make it difficult to copy and paste

I found more info--the version sung by Trisha Yearwood credits Keith Whitley as the song writer

Another comment says that Justin Rivers wrote it.

Many bands have covered it including Nickel Creek

YOU DON'T HAVE TO MOVE THAT MOUNTAIN

Songwriter: Whitley, Keith
Label: Sugar Hill

You don't have to move that mountain
Just help me Lord to climb it
You don't have to move that stumblin' block
Just show me the way around it

We must climb a great high mountain
To reach God's gracious kingdom
But in His words you'll find the strength
If you will just believe them

'Cause you don't have to move that mountain
Just help me Lord to climb it
You don't have to move that stumblin' block
Just show me the way around it

Well, the way is filled with pitfalls
And sometimes we may falter
But you can have His grace, my friend
On your knees down at the altar

'Cause you don't have to move that mountain
Just help me Lord to climb it
You don't have to move that stumblin' block
Just show me the way around it

You don't have to move that mountain
Just help me Lord to climb it
You don't have to move that stumblin' block
Just show me the way around it
