Does Con Fada have a website? Couldn't find anything in Google. The Times article* is brilliant Martin, thanks for posting it. And please note everyone where Con lives: the great and glorious republic of CORK.

As you say, no better man. Must keep an eye out for Solid Cider - that idea will probably start a craze now. (I have apple trees out back, hmmmmmm . . .)

Met the composer Con ( or should that be Con the poser) over the weekend. He regaled the company with a hilarious, new song based on the autumnal habits of Swedish deer which get drunk on fermenting windfall apples ("solid cider", as he called it). Must get a set of words...

Con 'Fada' O'Drisceoil, composer of such comic masterpieces as "The Spoons Murder" and "The Pool Song" has just been named as Composer of the Year in the TG4 (an Irish TV channel) Traditional Music Awards for this year. No better man!
