Subject: Journal of Music in Ireland Archive From: MartinRyan Date: 05 Feb 09 - 04:06 PM The Journal of Music in Ireland (JMI) is a bimonthly magazine covering a wide range of musical interests - it has been running for a number of years now. While some of the online version is subscription-only, it has recently provided free access to its archive. You do tend to need to know what you're looking for - but there's a wealth of good stuff on traditional music there! Click here for the home page. Regards p.s. If you're interested in singing, try "Frank Harte" as a search term! p.p.s. Mind you - looks to me like their search engine needs tweaking! |
Subject: RE: Journal of Music in Ireland Archive From: Bearheart Date: 05 Feb 09 - 06:08 PM I found a great article by John Moulden on traditional singing at the JMI archive: Click here I just typed in "traditional singers", it was one of the first things that came up. Thanks for posting this, what a great resource! Bekki |
