Subject: RE: Imbolc at Marsden. Is it going ahead? From: GUEST,Alexis (need to re-cookie) Date: 06 Feb 09 - 03:28 PM Main roads in the Colne Valley are fine. Side roads are bloody awful. Public transport would be a better bet |
Subject: RE: Imbolc at Marsden. Is it going ahead? From: Eric the Viking Date: 06 Feb 09 - 01:30 PM Hi Christine. From when we lived in Marsden parking is pretty easy.(14 years since we left) There are loads of side streets and generally everyone meets at the station and walks alongside the cannal to tunnel end. I always seem to remember it was late January though, but age, time and distance get the better of me.It was always a great night. http://www.kirklees.gov.uk/events/eventdetails.asp?evID=6179 Have a great time. We had thick snow one year, made it even more spectacular. Love n peace.

Subject: Imbolc at Marsden. Is it going ahead? From: Tig Date: 05 Feb 09 - 06:02 PM I know the annual Imbolc event at Marsden is planned for Saturday night. This is when the Green Man defeats Jack Frost and there's lots of music and a show on the bank above the canal. Does anyone know if it is going to go ahead or has Winter won this year? What are roads like round there - can people get through? All info gratefully recieved. |
