Subject: Tech: Blackberry Problem From: DMcG Date: 14 Feb 09 - 05:03 AM My wife has Blackberry 8110. Earlier today when I connected it to my PC it asked if I wanted to upgrade the software. Like a fool I said yes; it crashed in the process and now looks as if there is no operating system installed: when it starts it shows an icon like a windows form, surround by a circle with a line diagonally through it - a sort of 'no entry' sign. I suspect that means there is no operating system installed. Whem I connect it to my PC again, the Blackberry Desktop Manager can't find the device. Does anyone know a way out of this short of sending the phone away to have is memory reset? |
Subject: RE: Tech: Blackberry Problem From: Dave Earl Date: 14 Feb 09 - 01:21 PM Have you got the sim card and micro SD cards properly in place. Checking that should cause the Blacberry to re-boot (take the battery out and put it back in) I upgraded from the 8110 Pearl to the Curve a few months ago. Dave |
