February 2009 10.45 a.m.- 4.45 p.m. The Elephant & Castle, White Hill, Lewes BN7 2DJ http://www.elephantandcastlelewes.co.uk/ Brian Peters is an internationally-known instrumentalist & singer with a wide teaching experience on melodeon, including Melodeons at Witney, Folkworks, Music without Frontiers (Netherlands) & a Masterclass at the Australian National Folk Festival. He also gives regular lessons to groups & individuals. Working solo, with Gordon Tyrall, & in various bands, he specialises in Northern English dance music & accompanying traditional song, but has also experimented with blues, Tex-Mex & much else. He is an excellent Anglo concertina player as well. The workshop will cover three main topics if time permits (see provisional timetable). Players should have a G/D instrument & be reasonably experienced; music will be provided for readers but by-ear learners are welcome too.
