I know we've had threads before on Hober Radio; the most recent was specifically about Mudcatters whom we've heard on Hober. I thought I'd start this new one as it is not specific. Today's play list has just been terrific; enough so, I wanted to share some with you:
One which really struck me was Beatrice Mapsy Johnson singing "One Bright Summer Morning" on a Folkways record, of which you may read on old review HERE. He mentions her near the end of the article.
I always love to hear Ewan MacColl, this time he was singing "The Four Loom Weaver." Just beautiful!!
There was also a guitar piece by someone I've not heard of: Steve Dillon who played "Whistle While You Walk" on his CD "First of All."
I am going to have to get a CD called "Stories the Crow Told Me." I keep running into it on Hober and have loved every cut I've heard.
So, please add your recent favourites, esp. if they were heard on Hober!
