Please Folks
I know some people think it is not right to keep plugging music catters or otherwise on this site. There is a method to my madness. Our music is dying. Look at all the threads about folk clubs closing. The only way to bring it back to where it should be is if young people can hear the music and if it presses just one young persons heart, they will write and play. It is so darn sad to know that no young person I have talked to even knows who Utah Phillips is or even lightfoot. The last lightfoot concert I went to they had him on a revolving stage that looked like an old farris wheel with about 200 people ... 200 .. for lightfoot .. OMG . Only folk radio stations play folk, you never hear it on the regular radio anymore. Same with the great blues, have to search far and wide to hear it. Thank God for people like Ron Olesko who still bring it to the listeners.

Please post your music where people can hear it, youtube, myspace are great sites. Lets try and keep this alive huh, like I said feature our masters, who doesn't like that music but if they never hear it, then it is lost to only living rooms and front porches

Dan

Thanks for posting that Dan I appreciate man. Thanks for the comment as well Topical Tom.

Here is a video (not performance) I made for a version of Dark as a Dungeon. The footage is for the most part scenes from around where I live. One of the pics is the coal mine my brother is working in right now. It is my first stab at making a video so allow a learning curve lol. Also I never really intended on letting anyone hear this version of Dark as a Dungeon but I made the video for so I thought I might as well post it . Please excuse the dropped lyrics and all lol

Dark as a Dungeon

thanks
JT

Thanks for these links, I've just listened to both and love them. I'll gradually listen to all the videos on both channels over the next few days. I'm having a job keeping up with Olddude's channel at the moment! LOL

I think you should keep plugging.
