On 4th April 2009 Chris Coe will be leading a workshop "Developing Our Voices By Singing Together"

This will be a very rare opportunity to attend a workshop led by Chris in the South of England. Chris is a very experienced and well respected voice tutor on various university courses (such as the Newcastle Folk Degree course) , as well as being a respected performer of both English traditional music and song. Using mainly traditional British songs, teaching will be by ear -
no musical dot-reading needed. The session will be accessible and useful to a wide range of levels of skills and experience levels, (NB It won't be a session for absolute beginners.)

The morning session will be 10.00am - 1.00pm, the afternoon 2.00pm - 5.00pm.

The workshop is limited to 20 places only.

Admission £24.00 (Music Institute Members £22.00)
Concessions £17.00 (Music Institute Members £15.00_

Chris is also to be the guest at the Music Institute Club on the preceding evening, Friday 3rd April. Hope some of you might be able to join us!!!

I remember coming to one of your workshops in shrewsbury a few years ago. It was really good fun and i learned a lot.

I'm assuming your comments are aimed at Chris and not at me Sal ... I've attended workshops, but I haven't yet given one, and to the best of my knowledge am not going to be at the Salwey Arms !! LOL!!

I'll be singing in Banbury that weekend, so can't be in Guildford, but have always found Chris an inspiration, ever since I heard her at my first Sidmouth festival.

I always enjoyed her adjudications at the National Singing COmpetition - very thorough, fair, and very helpful in terms of talking about presentation, technique etc. I'm looking forward to her workshop !

Hi Sylvia - only saw this after getting back from the club tonight ... and it was a super night (despite my first ever attempts at MCing). I'm looking forward to the workshop tomorrow ... and I will be sure to give her a hug from you!! Thanks for the supportive words ... I;ll echo them back!!
