We're back at The Deptford Arms this month for another folk-packed Kit & Cutter.

Performing live.....

Boat Band (guitar/fiddle/accordian playing old-time English tunes and Cajun waltzes, blues and two-steps)

Yo Zushi ('the spirit of Bob Dylan for the 21st Century' says BBC Radio One's Mary Ann Hobbs)

Plus special guests aplenty!

And don't forget the all important raffle where you can win CDs of the acts or treasures from the junk market!

Entry is £5/£3 (concs)

Doors at 8.

Music starts at 8.30.

Get there early if you want to pick a good seat and catch all the music!

Live music til 11.30pm.

After the acts there will be a boogie til the pub shuts at 1am.

For those who wonder, the original thread title was:

BOAT BAND + YO ZUSHI - 21/3/09 - LON SE8

I'm upping this one as it's this Saturday and I'm now doing a floorspot at it.

Not that this'll be a clincher for anyone, but if they should turn up at 8.30ish they'll experience the dubious pleasure of me and my 5-string open-back banjo.

Probably "In The Pines" (a sort of Leadbelly/Bill Monroe hybrid) and "Willie of the Winsbury", the latter with present-day anachronisms guaranteed as I inevitably wander from the strict wording and improvise recklessly.

I hear very good things about the Boat Band, though have yet to hear them. Unlike everybody else in the world ever, they don't seem to have a myspace page.

Thank you Banjiman for that link. Of course we (the Boat Band) have a Myspace. We have our finger on the pulse of the young people of this country, and I have gone so far as to purchse one of these yer mobile phones.
