O.G.
Is it a bit of a sing you're after, or do you play and are you rather looking for a tune session? That should narrow down the options.
Enjoy the week

Look forward to it - the fiddle players normally nip along at just after 8 for some tunes (so if you play tunes come earlier - though we mix both during the evening) and we start singing and playing about 8:30 plus when we are quorate :)

Nick
From the link you sent it looks like just the sort of place we're looking for and probably worth the extra bit of distance. We could always spend the afternoon in York and over to Flaxton in the evening.
So we'll probably see you there on Wednesday.

You'd be very welcome to come to the Thompsons Arms at Flaxton on the Wednesday. It's probably much further than you'd want to travel but there you go! There's always people there every week and it's a come along and sing or play round in a circle sort of thing. Sometimes we play together sometimes people do solo stuff - you'll get the idea. There's a page of information and some fairly representative examples of the sort of music we do there at this link: Flaxton on a Wednesday. The pub itself has a small site here.

Have a good holiday!

thanks oombanjo. I had realised we'd missed the Filey club for March.
Will check out the West Ayton one. I think there are clubs in Brid and Scarboro too...do you know anything about those?
