I htink I have already said it - feral folk would be busking. I just spoke to a busker in Gloucester today. He was singing Peggy Gordon and I struggled to sing along. His delivery was definitely geared to the general public, not traditionalists. But feral it was.

The Five Bells normally hosts rock bands and karaoke - The Five Bells - Great Cornard

If any mudcatters want to come along and boost the audience to show that ventures into folk music are worthwhile they would be most welcome

Likewise any other artists or venues who want to add qualifying gigs may do so on this thread

Anyone with a gig to announce at a venue that doesn't normally host folk music is most welcome to do it here

This is a What's On thread

It is for those who are performing or organising a public folk gig outside of the normal Folk Club / Festivals / Sessions structure to inform mudcatters of coming events that might otherwise slip beneath the radar.

A folk gig at a rock festival is feral, a gig in the folk section of a music festival is domesticated - same with a lone venture into art centre / theatre as opposed to a folk night

Please provide - Date, Time, Address, Performer(s), entry fee (if applicable), in aid of (if applicable), link (if available)

This is an edited PermaThread®, intended to serve as a schedule for "Feral Folk" events in the UK. This thread will be edited by Rafflesbear. Feel free to post to this thread, but remember that all messages posted here are subject to editiong or deletion.
