Subject: RE: M'cat Auction: Three Woody Guthrie books From: peregrina Date: 06 Apr 09 - 10:07 AM Phil, we need more Woody Guthrie on these shores-- When you keep calling attention to the auction you risk Woody--in his book form-- staying at home! |
Subject: RE: M'cat Auction: Three Woody Guthrie books From: Uncle Phil Date: 06 Apr 09 - 09:42 AM Refresh. Like the guy said, "tonight's the night". Auction ends at midnight Mudcat time. - Phil |
Subject: RE: M'cat Auction: Three Woody Guthrie books From: Uncle Phil Date: 03 Apr 09 - 09:03 AM I really like the Longhi book, too, which is how I wound up with two copies. If you enjoyed those two you would really like the Klein book in the auction. Another good biography is "This Land Was Made for You and Me" by Elizabeth Partridge. - Phil |
Subject: RE: M'cat Auction: Three Woody Guthrie books From: EBarnacle Date: 02 Apr 09 - 11:06 PM I have enjoyed Bound for Glory and Woody, Cisco and Me. The Longhi book tells a really good tale about an underreported period in Woody and Cisco's lives. |
Subject: RE: M'cat Auction: Three Woody Guthrie books From: Uncle Phil Date: 02 Apr 09 - 09:30 PM Refresh. Four days to go. Don't miss the chance to read all three without chasing all around just to find copies of them. - Phil |
