Sussex folk, and those who dare cross the borders from Kent, Surrey and Hampshire (or even further afield) may be interested to know that the regular, last-Sunday-of-the-month eclectic, acoustic session at the "Bull" in Ditchling takes place at 8pm this coming Sunday. Rags, reels, airs, ballds, blues, jazz, songs and tunes - all welcome. We have seen the occasional use of a bodhran and a cajon and have lived to tell the tale...
And I should also give a boost for a new last-Sunday-of-the-month afternoon tunes session (3pm to 5.30pm) run by Vic and Tina Smith at the Royal Oak - tunes and songs welcome, if I can remember Vic's Thursday evening announcement correctly... (the mind is still reeling from Swarb's amazing fiddling).
