Things are hotting up for our Club Birthday on Wednesday. Merek and I have had our piccy and an interview in the Guardian! Not the national one though - Only the Banbury Guardian! Merek is also being interviewed by Radio Oxford on Wednesday morning.

We have an excellent birthday cake made by an old mate of mine and have even repainted the Folk Club backcloth for the first time in 10 years.

Hope to see some of you there - if not at our Song and Ale weekend on Friday!

This is no April Fool! The Ride a Cock Horse Folk Club at the Mill Arts Centre in Banbury is now ten years old! To celebrate we are having a special concert on Wednesday 1st April, in the Mill theatre plus a birthday cake.

Headlining the concert will be Joe Broughton and Kevin Dempsey and Sean Cannon of the Dubliners.
Supports will be local artists Fred Davis and Claire Trivett (ex Clarion) and One Night Stand.

We have tried to book artists who have always gone down well at the club, both national and local.Obviously we can't choose them all!

Our MC for the night will be local artist Linda Watkins who, with her husband Richard as Sound Engineer, is a great support to the club.

Tickets for the night cost £10 on the door/£8 concession or you can get them a £1 cheaper if you book in advance by 'phoning us on 01295 709881. Concert starts at 8.00 p.m.
