My Lord she blows
Waa Waah!
Get on board
Better get your ticket now
My Lord, she blows
Waa-Waah

The soul train is coming
You better put your business right
You better get your house in order, friends
You know the train's going to be here tonight
(Ah, Lord)

Can't you hear the whistle
Hear the bells
Can't you hear the engine exhausting, friends
You know the train's going to be here tonight

Now before she enters the pearly gates of Heaven
Can't you imagine you can hear this train blow
She blows her power
Lord, so low
You know the train's going to be here tonight.

Now, sinner man
Don't think you can ride this train
You better put your house in order friends
You know the train going to be here tonight

My Lord she blows
Waah!
Waaaaah!
Wa-Waah!
Woah

I couldn't do any better than "Buffalo", but it does seem odd.

You can hear several recordings at last.fm, but it's very hard to understand. Here's my attempt:

Intro:
My Lord, she blows,
Waa-waa
Get on board,
Better get your ticket now
My Lord, she blows,
Waaaaa-waaaaaa
Waa-waa

Gospel train is comin,
You better get your ticket right
You better set your house in order, friends,
You know the train gonna be here tonight

Don't you hear the whistle blowin'
Hear the bells a-tollin'
Don't you hear the engine exhaustin' friends,
You know the train gonna be here tonight

Now before she enters the Pearly Gates of Heaven,
Can't you imagine that you can hear this train go?
She blows across to (Buffalo???).
You know the train's gonna be here tonight.

[Mouth music]

Ah, sinner man
Don't you be ridin' this train?
You better set your house in order, friend.
You know the train gonna be here tonight.

My Lord, she blows,
Waaaaa-waaaaaa
Waa-waa Waaaaaa

Anybody else want to make a stab? I don't buy that"buffalo" at all, but I don't know what I hear.
What I DO know, is that I really like the Golden Gate Quartet.

Partial lyrics to GOLDEN GATE GOSPEL TRAIN from The Cambridge Companion to Blues and Gospel Music by Allan F. Moore (Cambridge University Press, 2002), augmented by listening to several sound samples:

Gospel train is comin'.
You'd better get your bus'ness right.
You'd better set your house in order, friends.
You know the train's gonna be here tonight.

Don't you hear the whistle blowin'?
Hear the bells a-tolling?
Don't you hear the engine exhaustin', friend?
You know the train's gonna be here tonight.

Now ... when she enters the Pearly Gates of Heaven,
Can't you imagine that you can hear this train go?
She blows across to Buffalo.
You know the train's gonna be here tonight.

Ah, sinner man
Don't you be(?) ride this train?
You'd better set your house in order, friend.
You know the train's gonna be here soon....

Norm Cohen, in "Long Steel Rail", says this is a version of GOSPEL TRAIN IS COMING, popularized by the Fisk Jubilee Singers.

For related versions, see the threads Fisk Jubilee Singers and Lyr Add: The Gospel Train (Jubilee 1), plus other threads and sheet music that you can link to from there.

Does anyone have the lyrics to The Golden Gate Gospel Train, by the Golden Gate Quartet and also Train Whistle Nightmare by Joe "Cannonball" Lewis?
