We tend to use Micro Cubes (15 + 20, either / or depending on the kit) but I've never been too happy with them to be honest, even at 'acoustic' levels. The Laneys sound just the ticket though - I'm tempted to swing by MCR & pick a couple up on our way to our Sheffield gig tomorrow (at which we're expecting our Micro Cube set up to handle a Mininova, MS-20, Monotribe / Volca bass as well as two vocal mics, one going through a Boss VE-20... what are the chances???)

Thanks. PFR! You might have just saved the day!

Yeah.. surprisingly not as well known as they could be ???

If I ran a pub folk club, they'd be my first choice.
Ideal handy gear for subtle balanced sound reinforcement at sessions.

..and you can link 2 for use as small bar room gig PAs.

I got 2 of the older 80watt versions cheap off ebay.

My only gripe is the older cabs are covered in that carpet material,
that can over a long time get grubby and tatty.

I don't know if the new models still use it instead of easy wipe down tolex.

For versatility and value for money,
it might be worth a few minutes checking & comparing the Laney line of AUDIOHUB
portable multi instrument input combo amps.

AUDIOHUB Amps

Or their Acoustic amps.

What ever System you buy , its a basic rule that before long you will find that it is inadequate . UNLESS you start with a 24 channel mixer , THEN you may get away with it for a while !

As I edge closer to the populace I have to choose an amp system.
Does anyone have opinions/experience on the Fishman Solo?
I am a singer/songwriter who intends to use an external mike for guitar (No di).
If the Aer Acoustcube had two xlr inputs I would probably have opted for that.
Do you rate the Fishman Solo?
