Subject: RE: Hammered Dulcimer for sale - Sheffield, England From: Andy Jackson Date: 07 Apr 09 - 06:22 PM When did you last play this wonderous device? I find if I leave mine alone for a few months the tunes I've attempted to learn on my English connie seem to fall out of the dulcie. Give it another go and perhaps you may be re-illusioned! Good luck, Andy |

Subject: RE: Hammered Dulcimer for sale - Sheffield, England From: Zany Mouse Date: 03 Apr 09 - 05:32 PM OK, I've had loads of queries on this so I'll put the information here and PM the price to those interested. It has 24 double strings/courses. There's no maker's name on it and I seem to remember it was made for Janet Strap from Redbourne - a superb player - but that is relying on my bad memory. The measurements are: Long side: 87 cm Short side 42 cm Front to back: 43 cm Sound box: 5.5 cm deep There are no known problems It comes with a stand and padded carry bag. Blessings Rhiannon |

Subject: RE: Hammered Dulcimer for sale - Sheffield, England From: catspaw49 Date: 02 Apr 09 - 12:40 PM Dulcimer was the incestuous brother of Dulcinea and was rumored to not only have gotten her hammered, but pounded her eyeballs out as well. They said he left her ravaged and reamed on the rear steps of a windmill. Spaw |
