Some friends of mine play in a 5-piece band called The Twagger Band. I thought some of you might be interested in seeing a clip or two of them playing live at the "Six Bells" Folk & Blues Club in Chiddingly in Sussex. The evening, or part of it was captured on a DVD camcorder, with an output from the mixer desk to a minidisc recorder - and then mixed together with iMovie.

The band is normally a 5-piece (two hammered dulcimers!), but one of the players was absent that evening, so the line-up was:

Sue Evans - hammered dulcimer
Derrick Hughes - Small pipes and various whistles
Will Duke - concertinas
Ian Chisholm - guitar and bouzouki

You can see the band in action here.

More clips to follow...

Having seen what the
Kelso F&C club look like, I wouldn't risk playing them myself - at least not at any contact sport.

But I will say that the Twaggers did us a very good evening at the Lewes Saturday club late last year.

Jeez - they look a grim bunch, don't they? The K F&C lot, I mean, not the Twaggers.

I'll get me kilt...

Will's a thoughtful chap much of the time - but he does smile. Perhaps he's thinking about letters in the Guardian...
