Subject: Bob Dylan burns electric guitar!
From: Ernest
Date: 01 Apr 09 - 01:50 AM

Today Bob Dylan burned his electric guitar on stage after chopping up it`s cable into pieces with an axe (as a hommage to Pete Seeger, as he announced...well, it was more a mumbling).

Afterwards he played the second set completely unplugged with only a ukulele - thousands of fans went completely quiet, some out of shock, but some because on the back of the hall it was the only way to hear him at all.

This is the end of an era. Watch the date!

Regards
Ernest

The article said he started the fire with flint and some birch bark. There's no turning back now.

And he's giving back all the royalties from the songs he ripped off from traditional stuff!
Amazing!!

Bob Dylan's actually moved in next door to me - I asked him about all these rumours this morning and he said they were all true!

Would you credit it...

It's an outrage!
An absolute betrayal of all those millions of people who bought his electric albums.
He's dragging music into the gutter!
I will never listen to another note of his so-called music.
I wonder if he has any amps to sell off cheap?
(several pages of outraged rant would follow if I could be bothered)
Happy April, White Rabbits etc.
Cheers
Dave

More than time that the Burns guitars should receive their just recognition, although to be honest I preferred the Watkins Rapier IV.

Typical! Just because a few people have heard of him he gets all the publicity. I burned my air guitar last night, not just a stage prop but top of the line. Did that get a mention anywhere? Naa, not a whisper. You'll be sorry when I've finished learning air accordian next week!

In protest, I just gave up the only instrument I am still able to play! The Jew's Harp! But I've not yet decided what I'm protesting?

I've heard that Bob is planning a surprise appearance at Apple Hollow, but will only do Gilbert and Sullivan songs, starting with "Three Little Maids from School".

Backup, anyone?
