Subject: RE: Kids Songs From: Joe Offer Date: 04 Apr 09 - 11:54 PM Hi, Dave - There's a QuickLinks dropdown menu on almost every Mudcat page. On that menu is a selection called DT Keywords Search (or click here). There are several kid-related categories, like "Kids" and "Lullaby" and "Camp" and "playparty." Give them a try, and you'll find lots. It you like something with a little more spice, try our threads called Naughty Kids' Greatest Hits. We had a problem with the "Mudcat for Kids" feature - a few really bawdy songs kept popping up on our list of kids's songs, and we would get irate e-mails about our corrupting the minds and morals of the children of the English-speaking world. Those bawdy songs are an integral part of folk music, and folk music is our primary interest. Now, for wholesome children's songs, there's http://www.kididdles.com/. All the best to you. -Joe Offer- |
Subject: RE: Kids Songs From: GUEST,.gargoyle Date: 04 Apr 09 - 11:29 PM I agree - Dr. Sunshine
Seriously, I beleive that many people have contributed old-time lyrics and songs from the past...hoping...with a slim belief they might be melded into the DT permanent collection.
There is potential to reap a ten-fold return - if, if, if ... a template were used.
Sincerely,
