Subject: RE: Jed Marum/Southern Celt Show(Mississippi Apr 3 From: GUEST,pattyClink Date: 28 Apr 09 - 03:47 PM The Amite County link seems to be spreading something called "Hacktool.Rootkit". I'd post a link to the symantec explanation of this, but I'm a bit leery of linking at this point until I can get a sysadmin to declare me virus free. |
Subject: RE: Jed Marum/Southern Celt Show(Mississippi Apr 3 From: GUEST,pattyClink Date: 28 Apr 09 - 02:18 PM Hey guys, I emailed info with a link to the ACHGS site to our song circle list. I got this message back from one of the respondents: "Firefox just flagged the "achgs site" you linked below as an attack site. I googled it, and the warning appears to be valid. If you agree this is the case, you might want to contact the people you emailed." Any Joeclones care to check this out and maybe disable the link above?

Subject: RE: Jed Marum/Southern Celt Show(Mississippi Apr 30) From: JedMarum Date: 28 Apr 09 - 09:04 AM .... OK; that should have read "locked and loaded, armed and dangerous!" No that it's much funnier, but it makes more sense. Any Mudcatters beside SouthernCelt and me going to be there?? |
Subject: RE: Jed Marum/Southern Celt Show(Mississippi Apr 30) From: JedMarum Date: 07 Apr 09 - 06:32 PM Hey, cool. I'll be there! With banjo (loaded and loaded, armed and dangerous) - with guitars too. I'm already looking forward to it! |
Subject: RE: Jed Marum/Southern Celt Show(Mississippi Apr 30) From: Jeri Date: 07 Apr 09 - 04:39 PM Well, Joe, by my count, three of us have fixed something in the title. 'MS' is the abbreviation for Mississippi. Damned good thing we don't have to change any light bulbs! |
Subject: RE: Jed Marum/Southern Celt Show(Mississippi Apr 30) From: Joe Offer Date: 07 Apr 09 - 04:32 PM Hmmm. I think somebody else is working on fixing the title, too. This is the best I can come up with, given the space we have, the incomprehensibility of abbreviations for Mississippi, and my lack of imagination.... |
Subject: RE: Event notice: Marum Concert (Liberty, MS, USA) From: SINSULL Date: 07 Apr 09 - 04:29 PM And now everyone knows Jed will be around. He is well loved and respected in our part of the woods - Maine. Make sure he brings his banjo. S |
Subject: RE: Event notice: Concert From: SINSULL Date: 07 Apr 09 - 04:24 PM Sounds like fun - unfortunately too far away. You may want to make your title a bit more specific. UKers will be mystified. PM katlaughing or Jeri and they will change it for you. SINS |
Subject: Event notice: Jed Marum/Southern Celt Concert From: SouthernCelt Date: 07 Apr 09 - 04:08 PM Here's an invitation to all within travel distance of southwest Mississippi to come to the Amite County/Liberty Bicentennial celebration. Although the main bicentennial planners have some limited events going on during the entire week of April 27 through May 2, the big day is Saturday May 2 with all sorts of fun things and unique vendors and displays of historical significance regarding this area of the state. Our historical society has our own set of events planned for April 30-May 2 with the most significant (to me anyway) being an open air concert by Jed Marum on April 30. I will open for Jed at noon and do about an hour of mostly historic folk music with connection to the area. Jed will start about 1:00 pm; I don't yet know what he has chosen for his playlist. More can be learned about the historical society events by going to our ACHGS website, http://www.achgs.org (view at your own risk - the Website has scripts and McAfee classifies it as potentially harmful. -Joe Offer-) and clicking on the link to the pdf document that shows the advertising flyer (that's found near the top of the index page). The general bicentennial planning committee has its own website that can be accessed here to provide information on other events and features of the celebration. If you can't get time off from work to catch the concert, consider having a fun Saturday on May 2 by driving in. There'll be something happening from mid-moring on through the day and evening. By the way, for any that don't know, Liberty (town) is about 20 miles west of McComb, MS. You take the south McComb exit from I-55 and go west on Hwy. 24. I understand for the Saturday events, visitor parking will be set up on the outskirts of town and shuttle will be used to convey visitors to the event areas in the heart of town. (Heck this is a small town, you might even be able to walk if the weather allows.) Y'all come! SC |
