Well, they're very nice songs, but I'm not sure that Andy Williams would feel very comfortable here in a folk music forum. I combined the threads since the songs have Andy Williams in common.

I thought I had the whole Andy Williams catalogue, 50 plus albums. I don't recognise either of the above songs.

Well, this page says that "Love Made Me a Fool" was based on Rachmaninov's Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini. Written by Tony Hiller / Nicky Graham, and recorded by Andy Williams.

Well, I have an cassette of old folk songs whick contains these two songs, although hey are not folk songs!

It contains some other songs which are pop songs, such as "Say You Say Me" by Lionel Richie and "Self Control" by Laura Branigan.

It also contains some songs which I think are country songs - some of the songs are by EmmyLou Harris.

Now that Joe has mad the Rachmaninoff Theme on paganini connection I do recognise the song... and, I do have it.

I was lucky enough to see Andy Williams in concert over 30 years ago at Crystal Palace Bowl.

I should have noticed this before - Ella Fitzgerals recorded a song called "(If You Can't Sing It) You'll Have to Swing It (Mr. Paganini)," written by Sam Coslow. If you listen to both pieces, you'll see the Fitzgerald song is based on Rachmaninoff's Paganini (or maybe on the Paganini theme itself).
