Subject: Javascript How do I turn it on?
From: Fred McCormick

I'm trying to use You tube and it keeps coming up with a message which says my copy of Javascript is turned off. Maybe I'm the biggest pillock in the universe but for the life of me, I can't see how it should be turned back on. Would anyone out there be able to help?

Many thanks.

If it's Internet Explorer:

Find the "Internet Options" option in the menubar of your browser (it's probably located in the Tools menu). Click on the "Security" tab. Make sure the "Internet" globe icon is highlighted. Click on the "Custom Level..." button to bring up the security options for your browser. Search through the menu for the "Active scripting" option. Make sure "Enable" is selected. Click the "OK" button. Close this window and click the "Refresh" button of the page requiring Javascript.

Thanks fellas. Turned out it wasn't Java at all. There was something wrong with Adobe Flash. I've just reinstalled it and it's working fine.
